Taking an Online Course
What can I expect when I take an online course from LS Training Company?
Enjoy the most convenient CE experience available. Complete your course entirely online, right from home. You can finish it in a single session or spread it out over days or even months—whatever fits your schedule.
Once you complete your course, your downloadable certificates will appear in your Course History. Print your four certificates and mail them along with your renewal application and a $100 check. You can find the renewal application by clicking the yellow download button in Browse Courses.
When can I take my course?
LS Training Company provides unlimited, 24/7 access to all online courses. You can log in from any computer with an internet connection and study whenever it fits your schedule. Start and stop as often as you like—when you return, the system takes you right back to where you left off.
How long does a course take to complete?
All courses carry 8 hours of CEU credit, and many learners discover they’re able to complete them faster than expected.
Do I have to stay on the computer the whole time?
No. Every online course saves your progress for you, so feel free to log out whenever you need. You’ll pick up right where you left off.
What happens if I fail?
If you don’t pass a quiz, don’t worry—you can retake it as many times as needed.
What is a passing score?
A minimum score of 70% is required to pass.
How do I find my place within the course when I log back in?
Click on “My Courses”, and then click “Resume Course”.
Continuing Education
Is LS Training an approved provider of continuing education in the state of California?
Yes. LS Training Company is fully approved in the state of California to provide the 32 hours of continuing education required for renewal.
How do I earn continuing education credit?
Licensees are eligible for continuing education credit upon successful completion of LS Training courses. Participants are expected to complete all course materials and activities. To earn CE credit, licensees must:
Provide all required information, including address and license number
Complete all course materials and answer all course questions
Achieve a passing score of 70%
Mail in your four certificates, the renewal application, and a $100 check
My Account
Do you need my license number?
Yes, please enter your license number in your account settings. Make sure your license number is entered accurately.
What if I have more than one license number for my one state?
If you’re licensed in one state and have multiple license numbers for that same state, you may enter all of them in the license field.
How do I correct my name/address/account information?
Please make sure all of your information is entered correctly when you register. Double‑check that your name is spelled correctly, your address is accurate, and your license number is correct. If you notice an error, please email us at ls***************@***il.com.
I forgot my password.
Enter your email address, then click “Forgotten Password”. Your password reset will be emailed to the address on your account.
How do I view/print a receipt?
You will be emailed a receipt when you purchase a course.
Reporting
Can I print out my certificate of completion?
Yes. Once a course is finished, you can click download in your “Course History” and generate a PDF copy of your certificate.
I don’t have a printer.
No printer? We’ll mail your certificates and renewal application; just email your request to ls***************@***il.com
Does LS Training notify the state of my hours?
No. All electricians must mail in their four certificates, the renewal application, and a $100 check. California does not accept online applications. LS Training does not report your hours.
What do I put for “City” on the application?
Put ONLINE for the city.
